Sharing the Path Ministries

Our Story

Christ comes alongside us—and we become companions for others.

Long before Sharing the Path Ministries had a name, it was taking shape through decades of ministry, friendship, teaching, pilgrimage, worship, accompaniment, and the shared life of the Church.

Jeff and Rebecca Mathis are convinced that the Church is at its best when people walk together in faith, helping one another recognize the presence of Christ and become more like Jesus. Sharing the Path Ministries is simply their effort to give lasting expression to that conviction.

A founding conviction

Disciples are not formed at the destination.

They are formed on the journey. We believe spiritual formation is the lifelong process of becoming like Jesus by walking with Christ and with one another until Christ's life becomes our own.

Our Ministry Partnership

Rooted in the shared life of the Church.

Sharing the Path Ministries receives charitable gifts through our ministry partnership with Forest Hills Baptist Church. Our Collegiate Ministry partners with Forest Hills Baptist Church in Raleigh, a ten-minute walk from NC State University.

What's Next?

A path that continues to open before us.

Establishing a ministry among young people through collegiate ministry is where we are beginning, and it offers a glimpse of what lies ahead. In the coming months, we will introduce opportunities for individuals and families to serve together and to be formed through shared pilgrimages. We also look forward to offering retreats, seminars, and consultations that explore how the spiritual discipline of soul friendship can enrich the life of your church.
